what is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis has existed for thousands of years. It’s a natural state of deep relaxation that opens the subconscious mind to positive changes, allowing the desired transformation to begin.
Everyone experiences hypnosis throughout the day, especially between wakefulness and sleep. It can happen first thing in the morning, just before falling asleep, while driving and missing an exit, or when daydreaming. Getting absorbed in a movie that makes us laugh or cry is another example of this hypnotic state.
Hypnotherapy is the practice of hypnosis and is a pleasant way to develop positive habits and release negative ones, old beliefs, and unwanted behaviors. It promotes inner strength, self-growth, and improved focus and performance. It is 100% natural, using the power of the subconscious mind, and can even be done remotely via phone or video chat
In-person hypnotherapy
In-person sessions are available on Fridays and Saturdays in our local office in the Mill Creek Town Center.
At the start of the session, you will begin by sitting in a chair for the consultation and induction. Afterward, you will move to a comfortable recliner bed for the hypnosis portion. There is no need for any physical contact for hypnosis to be effective; all you need to do is relax and listen to the directions provided. It is important to note that you will not be asleep; instead, you will be in a state of deep relaxation while remaining aware and engaged throughout the entire session.
The initial session duration is about 90 minutes and it includes:
A detailed consultation about the issue and what changes you would like to notice after hypnotherapy. Coaching and instructional resources are provided.
Explaining how hypnotherapy works for your specific issue.
Suggestibility Testing to understand how you take in suggestions and information.
An initial induction then the last part of the first session is the Hypnotherapy itself.
Subsequent session duration includes:
Consultation to know how you have been progressing since our last session. Coaching and instructional resources are provided.
A secondary induction and finally the last part is Hypnotherapy focusing, reinforcing, and deepening techniques. Additionally, a recorded audio of each session can be provided upon request.
Online hypnotherapy
Online Hypnotherapy sessions can be done through platforms like Zoom, FaceTime, or even by phone, depending on the client’s choice.
These remote sessions are just as effective as in-person ones. Many clients appreciate the comfort of online hypnotherapy, which can create deeper relaxation because they are in their own familiar and comfortable place. Plus, it often costs less and saves travel time and expenses for everyone.
To prepare for your session, it's essential to find a comfortable and safe spot that is free from distractions, allowing you to lie down and fully relax. This could be a cozy sofa, a recliner chair, or any place where you feel at ease.
